• A MOTOWN CHRISTMAS - Christmas just ain't Christmas without the legendary music of Motown. Head to Playhouse Square's Hanna Theater through December 14 for a rousing musical revue! Created and adapted by Nate Jacobs, A Motown Christmas  is a lively, toe-tapping musical experience that combines the magic of Christmas with the timeless appeal of Motown's greatest hits from artists including The Temptations, The Supremes, The Jackson 5, and more, alongside original Christmas classics by Motown legends Stevie Wonder, Smokey Robinson, and Marvin Gaye. Directed by Karamu's Executive Director Tony F. Sias; musical direction by Dr. David M. Thomas, with choreography by Errin Weaver. Showtimes vary.

  
  

• MIX @ CLEVELAND MUSEUM OF ART (December 5) - Make plans to attend the Cleveland Museum of Art's monthly first Friday event. The theme for December is Snow Globe. a winter holiday–themed party that features music from across the world. DJ Ik Dubaku spins Afrobeats, Afro-house, and dance music from Asia and beyond. He is joined by DJ Flaco Flash, who spins Latin music from South America, Central America, and the Caribbean. Head to the the Reinberger Gallery (gallery 212) to hear Gabrieli’s Horns perform classic holiday tunes arranged for brass quintet from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Guests are encouraged to dress up in winter- or holiday-inspired outfits, including but not limited to “ugly” sweaters. $16 for non-members; $5 for members. 6-10 pm

• IT'S A VIBE @ HOUSE OF BLUES (December 6) - Cleveland's premier party promoter, Arnold Hines, presents his monthly set at the House of Blues Foundation Room for a special night celebrating Sagittarius season. Expect a night of good energy, crafted cocktails, birthday celebrations, and curated sounds that keep the city moving. Music By: DJ MyNameIsBravo and DJ Shonny Mac. Tickets available through Eventbrite. 9 pm-2 am.
