hosted in Cleveland next summer: the 2025 National Association of Black Journalists (NABJ) Convention & Career Fair. The Greater Cleveland Association of Black Journalists (GCLEABJ) will serve as the host chapter. And, during the event, NABJ will celebrate and commemorate its 50th Anniversary.
The annual NABJ Convention, which takes place
August 6-10, 2025 at the Huntington Convention Center of Cleveland, represents a pivotal moment for journalists and media professionals. It fosters growth, networking and empowerment within the Black journalism community across the country.

Description:
Black journalists have made significant contributions to Cleveland and Northeast Ohio dating back to the late 1800s. However, there is no one place that houses the history and tells the stories. GCLEABJ is committed to filling that gap with its Inaugural Hall of Fame Induction and Awards Ceremony. This event will induct past and present African Americans who made significant contributions to Cleveland’s journalism and overall community. It will serve as the organization’s signature fundraiser for years to come.
