ree

The 14th annual Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival (GCUFF) comes to a close Friday, September 26, but there's still time to get it on the action by attending the closing night Awards Ceremony and screening of the film, Can You Stand the Rain. Festivities begin at 6 pm at the MLK Branch of the Cleveland Public Library, 10601 Euclid Avenue in University Circle. Tickets are still available through Eventive. Can't wait to see you there!!

Written and directed by Eden Marryshow, Can You Stand the Rain is an ensemble drama, in the vein of The Best Man franchise. When beloved children's author Shawn Xavier Brown unexpectedly passes away, his tight-knit group of childhood friends reunite for his funeral weekend. As old wounds, unresolved dreams, and hidden tensions rise to the surface, they are forced to confront the lives they've built, the loves they've lost, and the hopes they've long buried.

Celebrating 14 years of cinematic excellence, The Greater Cleveland Urban Film Festival (GCUFF) proudly serves as a vibrant platform for independent filmmakers, screenwriters, and actors from the African Diaspora to showcase their talents to a diverse and enthusiastic audience in Greater Cleveland.
